keepsake jewelry

keep•sake (ˈkipˌseɪk)

n.

anything kept, or given to be kept, as a token of friendship or affection; remembrance.

Ive always been interested in the idea of keepsake jewelry. One of the things I love about jewelry is that it is small and you can take it with you where ever you go. I have moved and traveled a lot and my jewelry always comes with me. I can also bring home special pieces from far away places that I visit. It is picture day at my daughter's school today. It was very special to both of us that she is wearing a keepsake necklace that was her grandmother's for the pictures.

What is your favorite keepsake piece, and why?
